Alternative Dispute Resolution

• Mediation: Ms. Maw is available as a mediator in the areas of personal injury, healthcare, construction defects, product liability, toxic torts, pharmacy and pharmaceutical liability and insurance issues.

• Arbitration: Ms. Maw has participated in and served as an arbitrator on three-panel arbitrations, specifically in the personal injury and the insurance law areas.

Legal Consulting

A service to assist in the management of expert witnesses in all stages of litigation to decrease legal costs of the retained expert by:

• Identifying critical scientific information and controlling the flow of that information.
• Determining the need for expert testimony and the area of expertise.
• Assuring the scientific reliability of expert’s reports and the expert’s opinion is supported by scientific reasoning and methodology.
• Providing the Court with the scientific tools to understand complex, technical and scientific testimony by assuring the presentation is understandable.
• Making effective use of the motion in limine and Rule 104(a) hearings.
• Assisting in the development and/or handling of direct and cross examination.
• Providing an understanding of the scientific theory and its admissibility.
